Project Overview

Discovery
A rough design system comprised of a basic color library and components in-use existed. This reflected both the state of the product and what had been developed in the backend already.
+ Inconsistent styles
+ Lack of components and styles
+ Duplicative designs
+ Lack of brand identity
+ Difficult file structure and navigation

Discovery
Key discoverability flows like this were developed without scalability in mind. Components were added to the experience as one-offs for quick decision making.
+ Unclear navigation and CTAs
+ Bot-like profiles
+ Lack of information architecture
+ Lack of brand identity

Design
I focused on designing discovery surfaces that balanced exploration with personalization. This included improving how creators were surfaced through feeds, recommendations, and contextual entry points across the product. By leveraging familiar content patterns and prioritizing relevance, the experience made it easier for fans to organically encounter new creators without disrupting their primary browsing behavior. I also worked on strengthening creator presence within the product—ensuring profiles, content previews, and social proof clearly communicated value at a glance. This helped fans quickly assess why a creator was worth following or subscribing to, reducing hesitation in the discovery-to-conversion funnel.

Design
I designed a more accessible and expressive profile experience that allows fans to seamlessly discover and engage with creators from anywhere in the app. I focused on making profiles feel human and dynamic, giving creators the tools to showcase their identity through customizable layouts, content, and media while reducing friction in posting and content uploads. At the same time, I introduced clearer access to performance insights, enabling creators to better understand and manage their growth. This work strengthened the connection between creators and fans by making profiles not just a destination, but an active hub for engagement and monetization.
